(Click on an image to view larger size) Apatosaurus had a small, low, horse-like head with peg shaped teeth. Many people know Apatosaurus better by its old name Brontosaurus. The name was changed when Brontosaurus fossils proved identical with those of a dinosaur that had previously been named - Apatosaurus. Apatosaurus had huge claws. While most of its claws were short and rounded, the claws on the inside front feet protruded, and may have been used for digging or for defense. The information contained in these pages
