Mural of Utah: 10,000 B.C.
The CEU Prehistoric Museum’s mural depicting
the end of the Ice Age in eastern Utah was produced by artist
Joseph S. Venus
. The mural depicts fifty plus animals from that time period including: A
combination of the Huntington Mammoth, mastodon, buffalo, Saber tooth cat,
camels, and other mammals and birds. The mural is 40' X 8' and covered the
Pleistocene age (10,000 to 17,000 years ago in Utah).
At the College of Eastern Utah Prehistoric Museum, this
breathtaking mural can be viewed in our Hall of Man. Created by the talented
Joseph S. Venus,
this mural depicts life in a long ago yet not forgotten place. Two sizes of the
mural, Joseph S. Venus prints and greeting cards can be purchased in the museum
gift shop.
